Business owner since 2017. Dog owner since 2012.
Dog photography has been one of my specialties for about a decade. I began photographing my own 2 rescue dogs in 2012 when they were puppies, and in 2015, I began volunteering my skills photographing dogs of all breeds, sizes, and obedience levels for a local animal rescue group. Ever since, clients have been bringing their dogs to their family photo sessions - and for good reason! Dogs are family, too.
People everywhere have dogs and love them dearly, but not all photographers welcome dogs to sessions. I understand that not all photographers are comfortable around pets - fear, allergies, maybe they don't know the best way to manage a dog's unpredictability, perhaps they just aren't interested in getting dirty or smelling like dog treats. I love all of it! I have chosen to fill this void.
In no particular order:
• I love cicadas and opossums.
• My favorite place is outside - relaxing on my deck with a sour beer, taking pictures of my wildflowers and pollinator insects, and camping in our DIY garage-built teardrop camper.
• My favorite season is anything but Midwest winter - I thrive in warm sunlight, like a lizard. But fresh snow in real mountains is a special kind of treat I'll travel for.
• Not a morning person, but can be coaxed with mimosas or fancy lattes. Mornings require bribes.
• Lover of words and spreadsheets
• I'm terrible at decorating. My house looks the same year-round.
• My husband and I love to take road trips to cute mountain towns, and we enjoy finding hard cider breweries everywhere we adventure. It's tradition!
• Favorite musician: Andy Grammar
